Uranium Equities Limited has targeted the West Arnhem Land region within the Alligator Rivers Uranium Province for the discovery of high grade unconformity-style uranium deposits.
Uranium Equities holds the Nabarlek Mining Lease through its subsidiary Queensland Mines Pty Ltd and a 40% equity within the surrounding Nabarlek JV area with Cameco Australia Pty Ltd. In addition, it holds 100% of the Mt Evelyn Project area (totalling 5350 km2) and is working with the Traditional Owners and the Northern Land Council towards the granting of the licences at Mt Evelyn.
NT Project Areas and Geology
Both the Cameco JV and Mt Evelyn Project tenement packages are situated to the east of the Ranger, Jabiluka and Koongarra uranium deposits in the Alligator Rivers Uranium Province, with the Cameco JV tenements surrounding the historic high grade Nabarlek Uranium Deposit (past production of 0.57Mt @ 1.95% U3O8 for 11084t U3O8) within the Nabarlek ML, now held 100% by Uranium Equities.
